Have you ever met someone who doesn’t fit into a category? A one-of-a-kind? You know, a unicorn? That’s what I am.

I was raised 1/2 of my childhood in North Carolina, so I’m a southern woman, but for the other 1/2 of my childhood I lived in Washington, D.C., so I have urban vibes. I am African-American but was educated in majority schools, and then sent my kids to HBCUs! I like to drive my Jeep through the mountains and my sports car on highways. I cook meat for my family but I’m a pescatarian. Let’s not even discuss religion — I think I’m PresbyBaptiCostal. That’s a long story. I am also a serial entrepreneur. I currently operate 4 businesses under SPR Enterprises (3 LLCs; 1 nonprofit).

That being said, there aren’t many books with characters with whom I can relate. So, I write them! My novels are page-turners packed with suspense, drama and, well, as an ordained minister, there’s always the underlying hint of biblical truth. My Bible Study Guides and journals allow you to journey with my book club as we Study, Pray, and Rejoice (SPR Ministries) in the gospel. They invite people from all walks of life to meet my characters (oh how I love them!) — some real, some biblical, some fictitious — and experience their messy yet meaningful lives.

I hope my books entertain and enlighten you. I hope you join my book club. I hope you bring a friend along!

After completing a study on 100 women of the Bible, Rev. Dr. Shawn P. Richmond launched a social media campaign, “100 Women of the Bible”. She posted one woman per day on FB, IG, and her website (drshawnrichmond.com/100-women). Each post included the name of the woman (when Dr. Richmond could find it), the scripture references for the woman, and the discovery from her research.

This book is a composite of the 100 women in the same order that she posted them. It includes exegesis of what the Bible says about the women and the hermeneutics of what their stories mean.

Dr. Richmond founded SPR Ministries, a nonprofit organization that provides biblical counseling and biblical courses. And, she donates 100% of the profits from the sale of this book to the SPR Ministries’ Scholarship Fund to provide executive coaching to small business owners.
